For many years the mining, breaking and demolition industry is using the rock breaker. There is very little improvement in the overall concept. Thinking out of the box we studied the variations and concepts being used for tens of years being used and designed our own attachment which we tested extensively before launching in the market. The guiding principle was the equipment had to be efficient, simple, inexpensive to operate and cheap to maintain.
We have introduced a revolutionary new Hydraulic excavator attachment to help excavate hard ground , Soft , Fractured or Weather rock in a very simple and cost effective manner using high frequency vibration to drive a wedge in the strata, The VIBER : A Vibro ripper. Though possible to excavate rock without blasting the viber is extremely efficient and productive in soft, fractured and weathered rock where blasting is less effective and normal bucket nearly useless. Field test have proved the increase in production by 2 to 7 times on different strata.
Viber is equally at home on land and water and makes light work of ripping the soil to make excavation productive and easier. Practically no modification is required to switch from working on land to water and vice versa. It has been designed and is tested to work 6 to 8 meters underwater. The attachment is completely sealed and hence no dirt or dust can enter the machine and hence the machine can work flawlessly all applications on land or in water. The attachment has been used in INDIA for 6 meter underwater hard ground and soft rock excavation from more than 4 months to the owner's satisfaction. Unlike a standard rock breaker this Viber does not require any special air compressor to run underwater
Inexpensive and easily field replaceable wear tip is provided for economical operation. This can be changed according to the strata to be ripped.
Basic principle used is a wedge and to use the natural weakness in rock and hard ground to rip open the strata, after which the excavation is simple. We use the high energy vibrations to drive a wedge in the rock causing it to split along the natural fracture line. Once fractured it can pull unlike standard rock breakers to remove the full face and hence give multiple increase in production.
Extensively field tested internationally for more than 10000 hours on a variety of different soil conditions. In INDIA the machine is working on an underwater hard ground excavation project since few months with effective productivity. have proved that this Viber is more than 2 to 7 times more effective in approx 80% of the strata found internationally as compared with traditional method of using Excavator mounted Rock breakers.
