Detailed introduction to Florfenicol Liquid Injection 5%(veterinary medicine):
Name of Veterinary drug: Florfenicol Liquid Injection (5%,10%,15%,30%)
Character: The product is a colourless or pale yellow solution.
Indication: The product is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of bacterial disease caused by sensitive bacteria especially for the treatment of drug (thiamphenicol, guinolonos and other antibiotics)- resistant strains of bacteria induced disease. It is an effective substitute of chloramphenicol injection.
It is also used for the treatment of disease in livestock and fowl caused by pasteurella, pleuropneumonia actinomyceto, streptococcus, colibacillus, salmonella, pneumococcus, hemophilus, staphylococcus, mycoplasma, chlamydia, leptospira, rickettsia, etc.
The drug is indicated for the treatment of infectious actinobacillus pleuropneumonia, disease caused by streptococcus bronchiseptica, colibacillosis, pneumonia, mastitis, etc. in bovine, sheep and pigs as well as riemerella anatipestifer, serositis of ducks, colibacillosis of fowl, etc.
Usage and Dosage: The drug should be administered intramuscularly at a dose of 20 mg/kg by animals such as horses, cattle, sheep, swine, chicken and ducks, etc. A second dose should be administered 48 hours later.
Contra-Indication:
Do not administer animals with established hypersensitivity to tetracycline.
Caution:
1. Administration to breeding or pregnant cattle is not recommended for its fetal toxicity.
2. Do not inject or take orally with alkali drugs. Do not inject intravascularly with other antibiotics and multiple vitamin B.
3. The drug has immunosuppression function. Must not given during the period of immune activation of the vaccine,
4. The drug dosage should be reduced or dosage interval should be prolonged in the treatment of animals with impaired hepatic function.
Precautions: Use a dry sterile needle and syringe.
